Eddie O'Gorman OBE

Eddie O'Gorman OBEWe are thrilled and delighted to announce that Eddie O'Gorman, our Chairman and co-founder, has been awarded an OBE in the 2010 New Year's Honours list.

Eddie founded CHILDREN with LEUKAEMIA with his wife Marion in 1988 after their son, Paul, died of the disease aged just 14. He has worked tirelessly to raise funds for the research and treatment of childhood leukaemia.

A much deserved accolade for the commitment, dedication and determination Eddie has shown over the past 22 years.

Caroline Blakely, our Chief Executive said "There is no one more deserving of this recognition than Eddie O'Gorman.  Together with his late and much missed wife Marion, he has committed the last 22 years to improving the lives of children with leukaemia and has done so with selfless resolve.

On behalf of everyone at the charity, and more importantly the children who have benefited and will continue to benefit, we offer him our heartfelt congratulations."
